Volunteers are an integral part of the school’s administrative team. Experience not as important as ability to work with others. Position Opening for General Manager
The Arkansas Craft School, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes a vibrant, creative community that inspires a life affirming appreciation of and support of the arts, is seeking a motivated, and detailed oriented General Manager to lead our growing organization. This is a dynamic role for someone who is passionate about the arts and enjoys working in a creative, community-focused environment.
The General Manager provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure the delivery of sustainable and effective craft/art programs, supervising and hiring staff; fundraising and donor development; managing the organization's day-to-day finances; basic computer competency; overseeing program evaluation and development; and advising the board of directors on strategic direction. We seek a General Manager who is a creative thinker and has the ability to engage across stakeholder groups to build coalitions, effectively carry-out our strategic vision, and promote the mission of the Arkansas Craft School.
The successful candidate should have at least five (5) years of management experience as a nonprofit or public sector professional. Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. The Arkansas Craft School is an equal opportunity employer.
